BOO AT THE ZOO OFFERS ‘SPOOK-TACULAR’ FUN OF HEROIC PROPORTIONS

Powell, OH – Ghouls and boys of all ages are invited to Boo at the Zoo, a merry-not-scary Halloween celebration presented by Diet Pepsi, on Oct. 18-20 and Oct. 25-27.

This year’s event features the all-new Marvel Super Hero LIVE Action Show starring Spider Man, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk and the Green Goblin. This 30-minute, action-packed show takes place nightly at the Animals on Safari stage at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Stroll through Pumpkin Plaza before heading to Jungle Jack-O-Lanterns Landing to visit animal friends. Then venture through the Little Boo Mansion, presented by Nari, and Little Boo Monster Maze, presented by Monster Jam.  All of the bone rattling rides will be open for these two weekends of “spook”tacular fun before closing for the season. Other rides, including the Dinosaur Island Boat Ride and the Bob Evans Creepy Hollow Express Haunted Train Ride, will also be open weather permitting.

For more fun, visit trick-or-treat stations located throughout the Zoo, and Animals on Safari and Animal Encounters Village shows. Donatos also presents Boo at the Zoo Hullaballoo featuring Zoo character ambassadors and Character Ambassador Rolling Celebrations throughout the day.

Columbus Zoo animals will join the fun on Saturdays during Pumpkin Smash, an enrichment activity. Travel to numerous animal habitats and watch the animals get into the Halloween spirit and smash their pumpkins.

Most Boo at the Zoo attractions are included with paid admission and are free to Columbus Zoo members. Hours of operation during these weekends are as follows: Fridays 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Children are welcome to dress in costume; however, only adults accompanied by a child or children under 13-years-old will be permitted to wear costumes that do not cover their faces while on Zoo grounds.
