Powell, OH – The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium kicks off the fall season at Jack Hanna’s Fall Fest on September 11, 12, 18, and 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dora the Explorer will be making special appearances on September 11 and 12 when she participates in the Country Character Caravan. Free vouchers for Meet and Greets with Dora will be available at the guest relations booth in the front of the Zoo. Children and parents also have the opportunity to have breakfast with Dora and her animal friends both days at 9:30 a.m.
Then, on September 18 and 19, Jungle Jack Hanna comes home and takes to the stage in Jack Hanna LIVE! at the Animals on Safari stage. Hear about his adventures and animal antics both days at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Guests viewing these shows will have the opportunity to meet Jungle Jack immediately following each performance.
And the fun doesn’t stop there. The Bobbing for Apples animal enrichment event will take place on September 11 and 18. Come watch the animals take part in the fall festival as they bob for apples at various regions and times throughout the day.
Both Fall Fest weekends will include pumpkin carving by Gus “Squash Carver” Smithhisler, bluegrass music, seasonal food, kid’s entertainment, the Zoo’s character ambassadors and more.
