New Seasonal Hours For The Columbus Zoo And Aquarium

Powell, OH – As the seasons change, so will the hours at the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.  Our fall back into autumn will set into motion the first alteration of the Zoo’s seasonal hours.  The changes will begin Tuesday, September 7.
The Zoo’s summer and spring hours will remain unchanged and the Zoo will still be open 363 days of the year.  The new hours by month are as follows:
            January-February:                      10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
            March-April:                               9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
            May-August:                              9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
            September-October:                   10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
            November-December:                 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Wildlights hours are: Sunday –Thursday 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. / Friday and Saturday 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.)
Zoombezi Bay guests will also want to note the water park’s late summer hours which are as follows:
August 23-24:                            10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
August 25-27:                            CLOSED
August 28:                                10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
August 29:                                10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
August 30-September 3:             CLOSED
September 4:                             10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
September 5-6:                          10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The last day to visit Zoombezi Bay this season is Monday, September 6.  The park will be closed until spring 2011. 
Rides at Jungle Jack’s Landing and the Animal Encounters Village will follow the same late summer schedule as Zoombezi Bay.  Animal Encounters Village will be remain open after the summer season has ended, on weekends only from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shows will cease after October 31.  Jungle Jack’s Landing and the Zoo rides (includes train, carousel, and boat rides) will remain open from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends from September 7 through October 31.  The train and carousel rides will be operated daily. 
Animals on Safari will continue weekday shows until September 7.  There will be no shows from September 7 through 10.  Shows will resume September 11 and will take place on Saturdays and Sundays only through October 31.  Specific show times can be found online at and in the visitor guide provided at the Zoo’s entrance. 
Meet the Keeper Talks will take place seven days a week from May 23 to August 24 and on weekends only from August 24 to October 31 and May 1 to May 22.  A complete schedule can be found online and in the visitor guide.
All shows and keeper talks are subject to change during special events.  The website and visitor guide will have the most up-to-date show times on these days.
