POWELL, Ohio – The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium will offer all guests who visit the Zoo in the months of January and February half off their admission ticket. Until Feb. 29, 2008 the admission rates will be as follows; $5 for adults, $3 for children ages 2 to 11 and $4 for senior citizens. Children under two years of age and Columbus Zoo members will continue to be free.
Worried about the cold? Don’t be. Visitors can view a variety of animals at indoor locations including the gorilla building, Bob & Evelyn’s Roadhouse, Manatee Coast, the reptile house, Discovery Reef and Asia Quest.
If you’re looking to shed some unwanted holiday weight the Zoo is the place for you. Ice skating is free with admission and skate rental is available for $3. The rink is open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through January. In addition to skating the Zoo also offers extensive walking paths for guests to enjoy. So, if you’re looking to get out of the house the Zoo is a great place to visit and the best cure for “cabin fever.”
The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for children ages 2 to 11, $8 for senior citizens and free for children younger than 2 and Columbus Zoo members.
