RAISE A TON BEFORE BECO TURNS ONE
Donate - Your spare change can make a change for elephants
The birth of any baby is reason to celebrate; the birth of one of the rarest babies in the world is cause for jubilation. On March 27, 2009, the Zoo ecstatically welcomed Beco, a bouncing, baby Asian elephant boy, into its family. While his birth was a milestone for the Zoo, it was so much more than that – Beco’s birth is a symbol of hope and survival for endangered and disappearing wild Asian elephants.
So, to celebrate what Beco means to us and for elephants, we’re going to raise a ton (of money) before he turns one! Our goal is to raise $40,000 (that’s what one ton of quarters adds up to!) for Beco’s first birthday on March 27, 2010, all proceeds will benefit the Zoo’s elephant conservation programs. So make a gift today and help us celebrate Beco while helping to save Asian elephants, too!
